KARACHI: With the sky partly overcast for a couple of days, the metropolis may receive scattered drizzle on Sunday (today), according to the Pakistan Metrological Department.
The weather department said different parts of the city may experience light showers with the maximum temperature expected to reach 33 degrees Celsius. Humidity in the air was recorded to be 69 per cent in the morning.
Seasonal Low lies over Northwest Balochistan and its adjoining areas. Monsoon currents are likely to penetrate upper parts of the country from Monday.
However, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Hazara division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
During the previous 24 hours, Gujranwala witnessed the maximum rainfall of 31 millimeters, Gujrat 28mm, Jhang 16mm, Sahiwal 13mm, Faisalabad 12mm, T.T Singh 10mm, Bahawalnagar 09mm, Jhelum, Shorkot, and Sargodha PAF 03mm, Kasur, Mangla, Sialkot, M.B Din 01mm, Mirpurkhas 17mm, Thatta 02mm, Rawalakot 05mm, and Lasbela 17mm.
