KARACHI: A boat carrying 12 people from Keamari capsized on Saturday near Manora beach in which all people drowned in the sea, ARY News reported.
According to rescue sources, 12 fishermen were on board a boat when it overturned while ferrying from Keamari to Manora beach. The rescue agencies recovered three bodies besides rescuing five people from the sea. The search for other four missing fishermen was still underway.
A man was rescued in an unconscious condition from the water, sources said.
All rescued fishermen were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medical attendance.
It is worth mentioning here that four people last week lost their lives when drowned in the sea at Karachi’s Hawkes Bay. Karachi witnesses a number of incidents of drowning in the summer season, when picnickers swarm the beaches to beat the soaring temperatures in the city.
