Karachi: Four among three Lyari gangsters killed, cop injured

KARACHI: One citizen was killed while three members of Lyari Gang War were killed in an alleged police encounter and a police officer was injured in a robbery attempt in Karachi, ARY News reports.

A body of a tortured person was found from a house in Bengali Para area of Korangi. According to police, the person was killed by firing.

A police officer named Mubeen was injured during a robbery attempt in Drig Road at Sharah-e-Faisal. The cop is a member of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU).

Three members of Lyari Gang War were killed in an alleged police encounter at Lakki Charhai area of Baldia Town. According to police, the three killed suspects were identified as Jaseem alias Golden, Shahid alias Mix Patti and Shoaib.

Police further stated that there was a reward of Rs. 10 lac on the head of the three Lyari gangsters. The cops also said that the three gangsters were wanted for serious criminal offences including extortion and target killing.

Three hand grenades, three Kalashnikovs and three nine millimeter pistols were also recovered from the criminals, police added.

Rangers carried out a raid at Nazimabad's Mujahid Colony after receiving information of presence of criminals in the area. Several persons were taken into custody for questioning.
