Karachi restaurant firing: Police raid Baloch leader's house in DHA

KARACHI: Police on Monday raided the house of Balochistan’s political personality Shahzain Mari over his ‘involvement’ in a firing incident inside a burger chain restaurant located at Karachi’s sea view, ARY News reported۔

According to police, Shahzain Mari was found guilty of firing an incident at the restaurant that injured its manager.

The sources within the police said Shahzain Mari, who was ‘drunk’ ordered a burger at the restaurant and on late delivery of the order, he opened fire at the staff that resulted in injuries to the hotel manager.

During the raid, Shahzain Mari was not present at the house, however, police arrest his security guard Ghulam Qadir.

A heavy contingent of police took part in the operation.

On Sunday, the injured eatery manager in his statement said the staff was doing Sehri, when a man entered the premises and got furious after seeing no one at the counter.

Later, he opened indiscriminate fire at the staff after slapping the security guard and in an attempt to save ourselves, I was hit by a bullet in the foot, the manager added.
