Pop star Katy Perry opens up about romance with Justin Trudeau in London concert

In recent news, Katy Perry broke her silence regarding her budding romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during her concert at the O2 Arena in London on Monday.

The pop star, who was spotted sharing affectionate moments with Trudeau aboard her yacht, the Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, made a playful comment to the audience.

In a video shared by The Sun, Katy remarked, “London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school? No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time… but not anymore”.

During the concert, Katy also received a surprise marriage proposal from a fan, which she humorously declined, saying, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago”.

Speculation about Katy and Trudeau’s relationship began in July, when they were seen enjoying an intimate dinner at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal, shortly after Katy announced her split from her fiancé, Orlando Bloom. Recent exclusive photos obtained by the Daily Mail captured the couple kissing and cuddling on her yacht.

A witness reported that they were seen making out after pulling alongside a public whale-watching boat.

In the wake of these developments, Justin’s ex-wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, shared a poignant message on social media about the nature of love and letting go.

In her Instagram post, she reflected on the impermanence of love and the importance of presence, stating, “Sometimes we forget that nothing we love is ever meant to be kept”. Sophie, who divorced Justin in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage, emphasised the lessons of grief and grace in her message.

Katty, who also has a five-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove Bloom, ended her relationship with Orlando Bloom earlier this year. She was previously married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.
