Key BLA activist surrenders to security forces

RAWALPINDI: A key activist of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) Abdul Rasool alias Ustad along his group has surrendered to security forces.

According to military media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Abdul Rasool was involved in terrorist activities in Pasni, Kulanch, Dasht and Mand areas of Balochistan.

The surrender took place as a result of writ of state established through effective intelligence and successful security operations, said the ISPR.

Meanwhile, Frontier Corps Balochistan foiled a terrorist activity in Quetta by neutralising an improvised explosive on Sabzal road.

Earlier last month, at least 26 militants, belonging to an outlawed outfit, surrendered to authorities in Khuzdar district of Balochistan.

The militants laid down their arms during a ceremony at Kalat Scouts Camp.
