LHC to hear Gullu Butt's appeal against ATC sentence

The Lahore High Court on Thursday issued notices to all the parties including the Punjab Government and sought an answer in this regard.

Gullu Butt – who was sentenced to 11 years in prison for damaging vehicles and public property in Model Town – also pleaded bail, which the court in its remarks declared as premature.

At which the counsels of Butt withdrew the bail plea.

Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) had sentenced Gullu Butt to 11 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined him Rs 100,000.

He was charged with smashing vehicles and vandalizing public property in Model Town on June 17, this year.
