Luke Hemsworth is eager to make a sibling screen collaboration happen – but there’s one major hurdle: his brother Chris Hemsworth’s jam-packed schedule.
In a March 30 interview with E! News, the 45-year-old Westworld star revealed that he, Chris, 42, and Liam, 33, have long discussed working together but haven’t yet found the right project. “I would love to do something,” Luke said. “I think we all just need to find the right project.”
Luke joked that Chris, who is in high demand as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s God of Thunder, needs to be booked about two years in advance.
“We need to get Chris booked in about two years in advance,” quipped Luke. “He’s incredibly in demand.”
Chris Hemsworth’s upcoming projects include Avengers: Doomsday (Dec. 18), the thriller Crime 101, and two documentaries – Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember and Limitless – in which he also serves as producer.
Despite the scheduling challenges, Luke emphasized that all three brothers are enthusiastic about collaborating. “If anyone wants to write something, then please, please come and see us,” he said.
Luke Hemsworth also shared the humorous reality of staying up to date with each other’s work. “Either of us getting each other to watch each other’s stuff is the battle that we face,” he admitted. “We’re always like, ‘Have you seen that yet?’ ‘Oh, no, I know. I’ll get to it, man, I promise.’”
