KARACHI: A Pakistani man smashed 51 watermelons with his head successfully breaking a Guinness world record.

Rashid Naseem, 32, from Karachi, smashes a number of 51 watermelons with his head in one minute to cheers and applause from the audience.

The world record was filmed at Green Public High School at Shah Faisal Colony, Karachi, Pakistan.

He also beat the previous record of Germany’s Tafzi Ahmed whose record stood at 43 watermelons smashed in 1 minute.

After one of his double headbutts, he splits the watermelon clean in two.

In another record attempt, Naseem crushes 281 walnuts in 60 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 251.

Wearing a glove, he uses the bottom of his hand to smash the walnuts, before officials are seen counting them afterward.

Naseem, who is trained in martial arts and runs a martial arts training school, said he had been preparing for the attempts for several months.

He said: ‘It takes a lot of practice to break a world record. I’ve been practicing the attempts for past several months. It requires a lot of funds to attempt and break a world record and I’m doing all this without the support of any sponsor or any government help.’

Naseem had previously held several Guinness World Records including most green coconuts smashed with his head and most bottle caps removed with his head in one minute.

He also claims to be a record holder for crushing the highest number of drink cans.

He said: ‘My aim is to make 50 world records and make my country proud, setting up new records is giving me a lot of happiness as it gives my fellow a feeling of pride,’ said Naseem.
