MULTAN: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz on Friday said that the first thing her father, former premier Mian Nawaz Sharif, will do if his party emerges victorious after 2018 general elections will be to change the “rules of game”, ARY News reported.

“Nawaz Sharif will change the rules of the game before taking any other move if he comes to power again, only who you vote shall rule… the message should be loud and clear for all (political forces) that they only one power should decide their fate..and that power is your vote,” said Maryam Nawaz  while addresing a public rally in Multan city of South Punjab.

She repeated her father’s narrative by saying that her party is not competing against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan but his “elders”.

‘VOTE TO END DISQUALIFICATION’

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, during his speech, thanked people of Sahiwal for attending the rally in large numbers and said that this rally is a proof that his “Vote Ko Izzat Do” (Respect Vote) narrative is gaining popular among people.

Nawaz Sharif, who was rendered disqualified for life following a court decision on April 13, said people have rejected his disqualification for he worked hard and put the country on the path of progress during his premiership.

The PML-N’s “Quaid for Life” also urged people of Multan to vote for his party and reject the “conspirators” who threw out an elected prime minister.

“Vote for me, vote for me in such large numbers that this disqualification verdict disappears under the burden of your votes,” said Nawaz.
