Govinda ruled the Bollywood for 15 years as one of the finest actors but he stepped out of the spotlight to make way for a brush with politics, between 2004 and 2009. But his comeback again after five has not been a success story altogether.
He is an actor whose spouse is not quite known to the showbiz circles, perhaps he never wanted it this way to be. Sunita Ahuja has times been spotted with hubby Govinda in functions, but not so frequently.
Govinda’s maternal uncle, Anand Singh (assistant to director Hrishikesh Mukherjee), introduced him in a 1986 movie.

Singh’s sister-in-law Sunita fell for Govinda at this time, and they were married on 11 March 1987. Their marriage was a secret for four years. They have two children: daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan. Tina made her Bollywood debut in the 2015 Second Hand Husband.
The 53-year-old actor is now looking for another lease of life close on the heels of an upcoming production. Govinda brings us up-to-date with all that transpired in the interim, the struggle that he faced getting the film off the ground.
