Mehdi Hasan’s belongings stolen from Lahore residence

Umaima Arif, daughter-in-law of Hasan, said she was recently shifted to a rented home to Karachi from Lahore. After a stay for some months, she went back to Lahore.

Upon arrival to Lahore, Umaima said, all the belongings of Mehdi Hasan had been stolen and reportedly sold out by the owner of the house.

In her petition, she stated that she had brought all the articles including harmonium of the late singer for getting them placed at a museum in Lahore. She had rented a house at Lytton Road to preserve all the belongings of the legendary singer.

She appealed the Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasirul Mulk and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to take notice and provide justice.
