Minister takes notice of writer Kamlani's deteriorated condition

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Education, Culture and Tourism Syed Sardar Ali Shah on Thursday took notice of deteriorated condition of Mushtaq Kamlani, a renowned author of Sindh, after his photos wearing worn out clothes and begging went viral on social media.

According to the details, Syed Sardar Ali Shah directed the director general of Culture Department Director General to provide immediate treatment to the famous literary personality.

It is pertinent to mention here that the famous author, Mushtaq Kamlani, found in the area of Sujawal, wearing worn out clothes and begging for petty cash on the roadsides.

SSP Sajawal Saud Magsi, on Wednesday, had met with Mushtaq Kamlani and announced to bear all the expenses of his treatment. He presented an Ajrak to the renowned writer and donated one month salary to him. Later, Sindh IG Dr Kaleem Imam also visited Mushtaq Kamlani and inquired about his health.

It is reported that Kamlani’s house and plots had been taken away from him by force leaving him practically for dead with barely the clothes on his back.

Mushtaq Kamlani completed his graduation from Sindh University in 1978 and he is the author of several books.
