Moon for Shawwal sighted, Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow

The main meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal (moon sighting) committee, presided by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, was held in Karachi whereas meetings of different zonal committees were also held in different cities of the country.

Testimonies of moon sighting were received from several cities including Sukkur, Jacobabad and Pasni. The testimonies from Sukkur were accepted by the committee.

The meteorological department had already said that there are strong chances that moon will be seen today despite the overcast weather.

It should be noted Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in Peshawar and different parts of the tribal regions. The occasion is also being celebrated in Saudi Arabia as well.
