QUETTA: An official of Balochistan University died in a targeted killing incident here on Tuesday morning, ARY News reported.
The motorbike riding gunmen opened fire at the car of Superintendent of Balochistan University’s examinations department, Syed Hussain Shah, this morning when he was on his way from home to the university. He received three bullet wounds and succumbed to his injuries.
The incident took place near Dukani Baba Bridge of Quetta.
A CCTV footage of the crime scene shows the killers fleeing from the area after the incident.
The incident caused harassment and panic in the area.
The police and officials of other law enforcement agencies reached to the spot after the incident and cordoned off the area. The officials initited preliminary investigation of the incident.
The dead body of the victim was transferred to hospital for postmortem.
In another incident in Balochistan today four terrorists killed them by detonating their explosives in Nasirabad area of Loralai after police conducted raid at a house.
A police officer informed reporters that the police on a tip-off about presence of terrorists conducted raid at a house in Nasirabad. Four terrorists in the house exchanged fire with law enforcement personnel and detonated their explosives after the shootout, an official of local police said.
A woman was among the terrorists who detonated their explosives, he said.
Four policemen were injured in the exchange of fire. The explosion demolished a wall of the adjacent house injuring four members of the family.
