MQM activists attacked ARY News office under a plan: DG Rangers

Speaking to media here, Maj Akbar said rogue activists who attacked ARY News office in Saddar were facilitated by two party workers hiding in a nearby bank. They were later asked out to assist other assailants, he told.

A man identified as Javed Shaukat brought out attackers from the bank to attack ARY office.

He said MQM chief Altaf Hussain provoked people to attack ARY News office after his inflammatory speech.

“Six arrested men have revealed that who provided them with sticks, batons and other projectiles [that were later used in the attack].”

He said investigation of August 22 attack was underway.
