Addressing a press conference here, MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that attempts are being made to slow polling process. He went on to say that some forces are trying to reduce margin of MQM votes.
He regretted that polling process started at some polling stations after much delay.
Sattar said Election Commission of Pakistan holds the responsibility if voters were disfranchised from casting their votes. He said voters’ turnout was extraordinary despite the polls being by-election.
He maintained that MQM candidate Kanwar Naveed Jamil is going to emerge victorious in the contest.
The MQM leader, however, hastened to add that voters are being subjected to harsh test in the scorching sun.
