Mufti Popalzai to return Pakistan after Eid

This should be noted that Mufti Popalzai of Qasim Mosque in Peshawar has been claiming for several years to have sighted Shawwal and Ramazan moons one day earlier than rest of the country, leading a large number of people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Peshawar to observe religious occasions separately.

A group of 50 muftis have issued fatwa against him stating that announcement of Ramazan and Eid separate from Ruet-e-Halal Committee was interference in state matters and against Shariat.

Earlier, while talking to ARY News, Popalzai has said the present Halal Committee had lost its constitutional status.
