Multan Metro Bus project to be inaugurated tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is likely to inaugurate Multan Metro Bus Project on Tuesday which has been completed at a cost of over Rs28 billion.

Technical Adviser of the project Sabir Khan Sadozai told that the 18.5 kilometers long track has been constructed where initially 35 buses will commute and around 95,000 people are likely to travel daily.

He said escalators, lifts, generators, expansion joints and launching pads have been imported from Europe.

The technical adviser said that number of buses will be increased if needed and a depot constructed for the buses has enough space for parking of 100 buses.

He said the provincial government will also run shuttles on a feeder route to let commuters reach metro track from different parts of the city.
