Musharraf should be allowed to go abroad, says Fazl

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF), Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said that many people have remained outside the country after the indictment of charges; Pervez Musharraf should also be allowed in this regard – ARY News reports.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House on Thursday, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that whether Musharraf remains in Pakistan or goes abroad, state politics will not be affected in either case.

Expressing his differences with the Government, Fazl said that he has talked a lot to the Prime Minister, now he would not.

Commenting on Taliban issue, the JUIF Chief the issue cannot be resolved through an offensive.

Earlier today, the Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered removal of former president Pervez Musharraf’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

A two-member bench comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Shahnawaz Tariq of the SHC announced the decision on a plea of former president.

The court, however, said the former president could not leave country for 15 days. The court gave government, the complainant, 15 days to file complaint against the decision before the Supreme Court.

The SHC had reserved a verdict on plea of former president Pervez Musharraf on May 29.
