Armaghan booked in new case for allegedly attacking journalist

KARACHI: A case has been registered against Armaghan, the prime accused in the Mustafa Amir murder case, for allegedly attacking a journalist, ARY News reported.
According to reports, the Jail authorities presented Armaghan before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi today.
However, the hearing could not proceed due to the absence of the investigating officer (IO). The court expressed displeasure over the IO’s non-appearance and issued a notice, ordering him to appear at the next hearing.
The court also instructed the investigating officer to bring copies of all case-related documents.
During the upcoming hearing, the court stated that copies of the case will be officially provided to Armaghan.
The court has postponed further proceedings until the next hearing.

On June 2, a sessions court granted bail to Kamran Asghar Qureshi, the father of Armaghan – the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case – in connection with an illegal arms possession case.
The bail was approved by an additional sessions judge against surety bonds worth Rs100,000. The court ordered that Kamran Qureshi be released if he is not required in any other case.
The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) had registered the illegal arms case against Kamran Qureshi.
Kamran’s lawyer argued that the case was fabricated and his client was being targeted solely for being Armaghan’s father. Multiple false cases have been lodged against Kamran, his lawyer stated.
A total of four cases have been registered against Kamran Qureshi so far.
Mustafa Aamir went missing on January 6 and a kidnapping case was also registered.
According to the police, Mustafa Amir was called to Armaghan’s house, where a dispute occurred, resulting in the former’s murder.
The police recovered 64 laptops and a mobile Armaghan from his house and also arrested two his employees.
According to DIG CIA Muqaddas Haider, the investigation revealed that suspect Armaghan had killed Mustafa Amir, transferred his body to Hub and set his car on fire to conceal evidence.
