NA opposition announces to continue its boycott

ISLAMABAD: Opposition members in the National Assembly have announced to continue the boycott of the House proceedings till the time the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan does not take back his word 'tamasha' which he uttered about PTI's demand for verification of votes – ARY News reports.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House on Friday, PTI member, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the word used by the Interior Minister was non-parliamentary, which the Government should seriously take notice of.
He urged the Government to acquire democratic conduct and to withdraw the words that hurt the opposition.
Qureshi stated that the opposition wants to participate in Assembly affairs, but the Government is demonstrating its stubbornness.
On this occasion, PPP leader Naveed Qamar said that if the Parliament loses its strength, then other institutions become more powerful.
He added that the opposition is not boycotting over a single word, it is rather protesting against the non-serious attitude of the Interior Minister.
Qamar said that for strengthening democracy in the state, parliamentary traditions will have to be maintained.
