RAWALPINDI: Following an increase in the prices of flour, the naanbais across Pakistan announced to observe a shutter-down strike on May 5, ARY News reported on Saturday.
In a statement, Naanbais Association president Shafiq Qureshi said that the rates of flour and fine flour increased rapidly in a month. The association president announced to observe a shutter down strike on May 05, if the government failed to decrease the price of flour.

He pointed out that the flour sack which used to cost Rs 3,000, is now available at Rs 13,000.
The tandoor owners announced holding a protest at D-Chowk, “not for any political agenda but to demand their basic rights”.
