Nawaz escapes media’s questions, pushes Marriyum Aurangzeb to answer

ISLAMABAD: In a peculiar move, ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif was seen avoiding the questions of media men while pushing Marriyum Aurangzeb forward to give answers of their critical queries.

Outside the accountability court, ahead of Al-Azizia case hearing on Tuesday, Nawaz Sharif was asked by a journalist that how does he perceive the political scenario in the context of opposition parties’ meeting to give a tough time to the serving government. To which the supreme leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) asked his party’s spokesperson Marriyum to respond.

She said that the political scenario is meant to change if the PTI’s government continues to run the affairs with incompetency.

Another journalist asked Nawaz, whether Asif Ali Zardari will meet him? and will he be ready to welcome PPP’s co-chairman?

Nawaz again redirected the question to Marriyum, who replied that the PML-N was reviewing the statement of Zardari on party’s level.

Zardari-Fazlur Rehman meeting

A day earlier, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari met with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to devise a strategy to challenge the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

The former president has expedited his political activities after lashing at the government for its alleged incompetence and inability to govern the country. He had also called on opposition parties to bring forward a resolution against the government.

Zardari reportedly discussed a range a issues with Fazl at the latter’s residence particularly the political situation and efforts to make the opposition more active.Well-informed sources revealed that they also discussed to bring a resolution against the government in the parliament.

He said that Fazlur Rehman will communicate with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on their behalf. The JUI-F chief announced to convene a multi-party conference of parliamentary parties.
