Nicki Minaj made an unfortunate mistake while talking at Turning Point USA’s annual AmericaFest event during the weekend.
On Sunday, December 21, the rapper and Erika Kirk closed the event in Phoenix on the stage. After leaving hand in hand, the two sat down to discuss politics, religion, and other topics.
Minaj, 43, shocked some by her admiration for President Donald Trump and his administration; she said to the audience, stating, “Dear young men, you have amazing role models, like our handsome, dashing president. And you have amazing role models like the assassin, JD Vance, our vice president.”
The rapper appeared to comprehend what she had said as she stumbled after saying it. She covered her mouth in horror and became silent for a long while.
Following the slip, Erika, 37, was kind and informed Nicki Minaj, saying, “Trust me, there’s nothing new under the sun that I have not heard.”
However, after remaining silent for a while, Minaj told Erika with emotion, “I love you.”
The head of TPUSA echoed the attitude, stating, “You have to laugh about it. Truly, I have been called every single thing. And you know what? God is so good.”
Erika became the CEO of Turning Point after her husband, Charlie Kirk, was shot and killed during a TPUSA event on the campus of Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. He was 31.
As her husband, Charlie Kirk, was shot and murdered on September 10 during a TPUSA event on the Utah Valley University campus at the age of 31, Erika took over as CEO of Turning Point.
Notably, one of the highlights of this year’s AmericaFest event was a photo opportunity inside a replica of the booth where Charlie was killed.
