OIC chief calls upon India to stop human rights violations of Kashmiris

ISLAMABAD: Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Dr Yousef A Al-Othaimeen has called upon India to immediately stop excessive acts of systematic human rights violations of Kashmiri people.

In a statement, he reiterated OIC’s principled position in supporting Kashmiris in their just struggle for their right of self-determination.

The secretary general noted that the Kashmiris remain victims of the denial of their inalienable rights to self-determination and have been suffering from the non-implementation of the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Condemning the continued use of force by the Indian security forces, he expressed his sorrow over the recent incidents resulting in the death and injury of several Kashmiris.

Pakistan has urged the member states of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to play an active role for the support of Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the realization of right to self-determination.
