According to details, Pakistan Railways’ Business Train departed from Karachi that it collided with a goods train near Rann Pathani. As a consequence, the assistant engine driver was killed, while multiple bogies of the Business Train were also derailed.
Police and rescue teams have rushed to the spot and more casualties are being feared by the authorities.
Meanwhile, Minister for Railways, Khwaja Saad Rafique has taken notice of the incident and directed the concerned authorities to submit an inquiry report of it within 24 hours.
