Oprah says running for President of the United States would ‘kill’ her

After the king of reality TV Donald Trump won the US presidency, everyone and their mother thought they could run for the highest office in the free world without any experience.

But luckily Oprah Winfrey, despite the months of rumors and speculation, appears to be the only one with a lick of sense, admitting that she is not planning to run for President in 2020.

‘In that political structure – all the non-truths, the bullshit, the crap, the nastiness, the backhanded backroom stuff that goes on – I feel like I could not exist,’ Oprah revealed, admitting that she definitely does not plan to begin a campaign.

‘I would not be able to do it,’ she said, speaking to British Vogue.

‘It’s not a clean business. It would kill me.’ The 64-year-old’s incredible 2018 Golden Globes speech had everyone calling for the chat show queen to run for President, with people asking her to challenge Donald Trump’s place in the White House.

However, she said at the time that there was only one thing that will make her run for President – and it’s not a hashtag.

Speaking to People, the 64-year-old said: ‘I went into prayer. “God, if you think I’m supposed to run, you gotta tell me, and it has to be so clear that not even I can miss it.” And I haven’t gotten that.’

Sounds like she still hasn’t.
