Authorities in the United Kingdom have confirmed the cause of death for Ozzy Osbourne, who died on July 22.
Fans of the Black Sabbath frontman were left heartbroken when his family confirmed the news of his death last month.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” the family said in a statement at the time.
While the family did not provide any details about the cause of death, a new report has revealed how the hard-rock legend died.
As per a report by The New York Times, medical examiners in London have confirmed that Ozzy Osbourne died of a heart attack.

The legendary Black Sabbath frontman had been suffering from many diseases, including coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease, for years.
Ozzy Osbourne was buried on July 31 at his Buckinghamshire home, a day after his wife Sharon and four of his six children – Aimee, Kelly, Jack and Louis – led the tributes to the Prince of Darkness at a procession in his hometown.
The confirmation about his cause of death comes amid talks about an under-development documentary series about the Osbourne family.
The BBC documentary titled ‘Home to Roost’ was slated as a 10-part series following Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne as they returned to the UK.
Reports suggest that the BBC was working to air ‘Home to Roost’ in the near future.
However, plans might change from a 10-part series to a single film about the Osbournes family.
