Pak Army befittingly responds unprovoked firing by Indian troops on LoC

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army made befitting retaliation to unprovoked firing by Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC), injuring at least six including woman and children, ARY News reported on Friday.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that Indian troops have once again resorted to unprovoked firing at Chiri Kot Sector of the ceasefire line which injured six civilians including a woman and four children.

The injured persons, identified as Shabnum, Kashan, Faizan, Nisha, Asifa and Shahid Hussain, were shifted to hospital.

Pakistan Army soldiers made immediate retaliation against the aggression and targeted various Indian positions. There were reports of deaths of five soldiers on the other side of the border.

Earlier on April 2, three Pakistan army soldiers were martyred in unprovoked firing by Indian troops from across the Line of Control (LoC) at Rakhchikri Sector in Rawalakot, the military’s media wing had said.

According to Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), those martyred were identified as Subedar Muhammad Riaz, Lance Hawaldar Azizullah and Sepoy Shahid Mansab.

On April 3, Pakistan had summoned Indian deputy high commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia and lodged a strong protest over unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian troops.

Gaurav Ahluwalia was handed a protest demarche by the Pakistani officials.

FO spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said that India is violating international laws.
