Pakistan Army's rescue teams reach Tharparkar

MITTHI: Rescue teams of the Pakistan Army have reached the drought-hit Tharparkar district of Sindh province, where some 41 children died of pneumonia and malnutrition – ARY News reports.

In a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), rescue teams of Pakistan Army have reached the calamity-hit Mitthi area of Tharparkar district. Food and medicines have been distributed amongst the people under the supervision of General Officer Commanding (GOC) Hyderabad Garrison, Major General Inaam.

It was further stated that rescue teams have also established medical camps in the disaster zone, where military doctors and paramedical staff are busy treating the children suffering from malnutrition and other diseases.

Sindh Rangers have also established three relief camps in border town of Nagarparkar and Deeplo.

Moreover, Bahria Town's Malik Riaz has announced Rs 200 million aid for the people of the drought-hit region.
