Pakistan greatly values its fraternal relations with Egypt, Azerbaijan: President Alvi

ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Thursday said that Pakistan attaches great importance to close cordial and fraternal relations with Egypt.

Talking to Ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan Ahmed Fadel Yakoub who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the president said that Pakistan is also keen to further strengthen the political, economic and trade relations with Egypt.

Ambassador Yakoub conveyed felicitation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to President Dr. Arif Alvi on assuming the office.

The president emphasized that bilateral relations between the two countries are rooted in shared faith and heritage. He hoped that Ambassador Yakoub will continue to play his positive role toward further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

President Dr. Arif Alvi also met Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Ali Fikrat Oglu Alizada who called on him today and said that Pakistan greatly values close and cordial fraternal relations with Azerbaijan and is desirous of further enhancing bilateral relations in all fields.

Ambassador Alizada handed over a letter of felicitations from President Ilham Aliyev to President Dr. Arif Alvi on assuming the office.

The President stressed that there is a need to further enhance bilateral trade in order to strengthen the economic relations.

He hoped that Ambassador Ali Fikrat Oglu Alizada will continue to play his proactive role toward further cementing the bilateral relations between the two countries.
