Pakistan Super League gets sixth team

LAHORE: Pakistan Super League (PSL) finally got  its sixth team as Schon group bought Multan franchise for the Twenty-20 league’s next edition, ARY News reported.

According to some reports, Schon group bought the Multan franchise for  $5.2 million per year.

On May 19, Over 40 representatives of prospective bidders aspiring to own the coveted sixth team attended the workshop held at the Far End Pavilion of the Gaddafi Stadium with great enthusiasm and fervour.

The attendees were given a detailed rundown on the bidding process & allied requirements by the PSL operations team headed by Chairman PSL Najam Sethi and including CFO PCB Badar M. Khan, COO PCB Subhan Ahmed and Director Marketing PCB Naila Bhatti.

The PSL’s first two editions featured teams from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta and the authorities were planning to bring in a sixth team in the third edition.
