Pakistan to take all necessary steps to protect its national interest: FO

During his weekly press briefing, he said Pakistan will also take all possible steps at the diplomatic level to protect its national interests.
The spokesman said there are serious issues between Pakistan and India that need dialogue, which has been unilaterally suspended by India.
He said as far as Pakistan is concerned it is committed to the dialogue process. He said we are committed to the peaceful resolution of all disputes but that needs to be reciprocated from the other side.
About relations with Afghanistan, the spokesperson said Pakistan has brotherly, cordial, cooperative and positive relationship with Afghanistan. He said during his recent visit to Kabul, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif outlined three principles which govern Pakistan-Afghanistan relations.
“We will strictly adhere to the policy of non-interference and will not allow our respective territories to be used against the other. Afghanistan’s enemies will be treated as Pakistan’s enemies and Pakistan’s enemies will be treated as Afghanistan’s enemies.”
Khalilullah said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project is also part of it. He said we have a number of projects with Central Asian countries including CASA-1000 with Tajikistan and TAPI from Turkmenistan.
He told that both Pakistan and China are committed to implement CPEC.
