ISLAMABAD: Pakistan foreign office has said that the Pakistani troops only target Indian checkposts when the country’s troops open unprovoked fire at the Line of Control (LoC).
In a news briefing, Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said that Pakistan targets security checkposts in retaliation to the firing of the of Indian troops at the Line of Control, not targeting the civilian population.
He also said that Indian forces carrying out unprovoked firing at LoC to hide atrocities in the occupied Kashmir
Zakaria said that Pakistan is concerned over the targeting of innocent Kashmiris on the Line of Control and the Indian treatment of Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir.
He said that more than 150 Kashmiris have been killed by Indian forces whereas over 1000 were fully or partially blinded with the use of pellet guns by the occupation forces.
Zakaria stated that the apprehended Indian agent Kulbushan Yadav has confessed about the plans India made against Pakistan and the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
The spokesman said that Pakistan is raising the issue of human rights violations by Indian forces in Kashmir with the world powers.
He also said that India’s violation of LoC ceasefire has attracted the attention of the international community.
