Pakistani kids win European Karate Championship, set for a bright future

England: Pakistani kids win European Karate Championship in England, qualifying for the World Karate Championship.

Nine years old Taha and seven years old, Umer competed with 500 competitors from all around Europe in the European Karate Championship which took place in Holland.

Their Chief Instructor, Les Hartt, super proud of his students, says: These guys are brilliant. I am very proud of both of them, they did a very good job”.

Taha while speaking to ARY news, said: “I feel very proud because I represented Pakistan and I represented Great Britain. I have qualified now for world championship in the USA. July 2018 I will be going to the United States and it is going to be a tough challenge but Pakistan will be with me and also GB. Pakistan Zindabad!”

Owing to the upbringing of their parents, despite being born in England, Taha and Umer are Pakistanis at heart and their mother is super proud of this fact, “The best thing is that despite being born here these children want to make Pakistan proud”

Their father speaking of their future plans, said, “In the beginning of the year they won national championship then they went for European championship and now my kids are ready for world championship.”

Taha and Umer will be travelling to the USA next year to compete in the world championship, taking Pakistan’s name to greater heights.
