The actress along with her mother was on way to a store that unknown assailants riding on motorbikes intercepted them at Shobra Chowk here and fired multiple shots.
Shaheen, 24, was killed on the spot, however her mother remained safe miraculously.
The assailants after targeting the actress managed a clean getaway.
Police said a case has been registered against unknown persons upon complaint by Shaheen’s mother and that investigations have been kicked off.
However, the family of deceased actress mentioned no enmities to police.
