Petrol price increased by Rs2 per litre

ISLAMABAD: The government on Thursday announced to increase the prices of petroleum products for the month of September.

The price of petroleum has been increased Rs. 2.00 per litre with effect from September .The new price of MS 92 RON Petrol will be Rs. 71.50/litre.

Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended a increase in price of petroleum products based on the prevailing prices in the international market.

OGRA recommended an increase of Rs. 2.35/litre in the price of petroleum , increase of Rs. 0.75/litre in the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD), increase of Rs. 15.79/litre in the price of kerosene , and increase of Rs. 12.18/litre in the price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO).

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar discussed the matter with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. It was decided that the prices of High Speed Diesel (HSD), Kerosene Oil and LDO will be maintained at the current level during the month of September, while the price of petrol was increased.
