ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday said Pakistan will continue its political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris for their right to self-determination at all international forums.
Chairing a meeting of the Kashmir Council, PM Abbasi said that Pakistan expresses solidarity with its Kashmiri brethren and has raised the issue of Kashmir at every forum of the world.
The prime minister strongly condemned the use of pellet guns on innocent Kashmiris by Indian forces. He urged the international community to take notice of the Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir.
PM Abbasi said that Kashmir cause is a heroic struggle which will be remembered for the times to come. The council offered special prayers for the martyrs of the Kashmir cause.
He said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif allocated resources for the development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting highly appreciated the PM Abbasi for effectively presenting the Kashmir issue at United Nation General Assembly session this year.
Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and world over will observe Black Day on Friday to mark the illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India on 27 October, 1947.
A complete shutdown will be observed in occupied Kashmir after the call for shutdown was by given by the joint resistance leadership and other pro-freedom organisations.
India has been continuing its reign of oppression in occupied Kashmir over the last seventy years but the valiant Kashmiri people have never accepted its illegal occupation.
