ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed to reduce load shedding in the country by half from Tuesday onwards that is three hours urban and four hours rural.
According to Pakistan Muslim League-N official social media account, the PM has tasked secretary water & power ministry to seamlessly and effectively implement the decision first on trial basis.
On the directions of the PM, tomorrow onwards, load shedding in the country will be reduced by half that is, 3 hours urban & 4 hours rural.

This should be noted that consumption of electricity already gets reduced during winter season as people do not use fans, air conditioners and other many home appliances including refrigerator.

The prime minister had last year in September said the government was determined to eliminate load-shedding from the country and provide cheap electricity to domestic consumers.
He had reiterated that soon there would be no load-shedding in the country and targeted 2018 as the year to get closer to the must-achieved goal.
