PM Imran lays foundation stone of women university in Sialkot

SIALKOT: Universities play vital role in progress of a country, said Prime Minister Imran Khan while laying foundation stone of women university in Sialkot on Wednesday.            

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony, PM Imran said “The more amount of money is spent on education, the more a nation progresses.” He said that the United States became super power due to the universities.

 

He underscored the need of modern education and promotion of information technology in the country. ” Our youth is our real asset,” said PM Imran and added that PTI government will give priority to education and investment on people.

He said it is the first ever university in Sialkot and lashed out former governments over avoiding education.

Imran Khan said that he assumed the office as prime minister when the country was in crises and assured that soon they will overcome the issues.

It is pertinent to mention here that President Arif Alvi, while expressing concern over Pakistani universities not figuring in the 500 topmost universities of the world, had said improving education standards in the country is top priority of the government.

Inaugurating the 2nd International Symposium on Natural Products for Future in Karachi on November 4, the president had emphasized on indigenous research in fields of food, medicine and plants to alter the entire scenario in favour of mankind.
