PM blames PTI over 'hurdling development work'

LAYYAH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday lashed out at opponents collectively and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf specially and called them enemies of Pakistan, ARY News reported.
“Enemies of Pakistan do not want development projects, implementation of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, construction of roads, construction of motorway, health cards for poor, the prosperity among people and employment,” he said while addressing a public gathering in Layyah.
He said it had been four years, since the opponents were holding sit-in protests and wasting precious time of the nation.
“Have they ever said a useful thing? Their agenda is sabotage, their agenda is lying and blaming only. The opponents daily use foul language. I don’t understand how they do it,” he said.
Nawaz questioned from the opponents that where was their ‘Naya Pakistan’. “Can those who are orchestrating blame-games be your leaders?”
He also mocked at the PTI over low turnout in their rallies and boasted that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N)’s rally could accommodate ten rallies of PTI.
“Such an enormous rally can accommodate ten rallies of those who recently held a rally in Islamabad. When I saw the Islamabad rally by zooming in, I realized that all the seats under high-voltage bulbs were empty,” he said.
Prime minister inaugurates Layyah-Taunsa bridge for the second time
The prime minister inaugurated Layyah-Taunsa bridge for the second time.
First, when he was chief minister of Punjab in 1985, he had inaugurated the bridge and now it was the second time, residents of the Layyah district lamented.
“The distance of 180 km is being abridged to 28 km through the bridge from Layyah to Taunsa. Now you will reach Indus Highway from Layyah in half an hour,” said Nawaz Sharif.
He said the bridge was being built at the cost of Rs7 billion. Nawaz Sharif did not only cut the ribbon but fulfilled the promise whatever he made, he added. He also announced gas projects for Chowk Azam area and Fatehpur.
