PM says his visit to China will take strategic ties to new heights

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said he was visiting China to take strategic partnership between Pakistan and China to new heights, ARY News reported.
In a statement, PM Khan said China was all-weather friend and a neighboring country of Pakistan. “I will have a detailed dialogue with the Chinese president on bilateral relations.”
He said talks will also be held with the Chinese leadership on cooperation in areas of mutual interest. PM Khan stated the Pak-China relations were cemented in a mutual trust.
“Pak-China friendship has a deep imprint on people of both the countries,” he added.

Khan affirmed the bond between the two countries would not be affected by any regional or international movement. He also thanked for cooperation extended by China on various development fronts.
The prime minister vowed that Pakistan would continue supporting China at all levels.
Prime Minister Imran Khan earlier departed for China on a four-day official visit.
PM Khan is visiting China on an invitation extended by Chinese President Xi Jinping and will be his second visit since assuming the office in September 2018.
Advisor to PM on Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Minister for Railways Shaikh Rasheed, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda would accompany the prime minister.
Apart from them, the Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, Advisor on Trade Abdul Razaq Dawood, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Khusro Bakhtiar would also be the part of the delegation.
