PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) will field a joint candidate for NA-4 by-election in Peshawar.
JUI-F leader Gul Naseeb made the announced on Tuesday and said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) govt has ruined institutions in the province.
He said the JUI-F and PML-N will field a joint candidate for the by-election, while the PTI will be deprived of leadership in the future.
PML-N leader Ameer Muqam said that JUI-F is their ally, and thanked them for their support in the upcoming by-election. “We were already allies and have been together in parliament,” he said.
He said the people have rejected those who were raising slogans of change, and deceiving the public which will be revealed in the bypolls. He said a joint election campaign will be held for the bypolls.
The by-elections for NA-4 by-elections is scheduled for October 26. The seat fell vacant after the death of PTI member Gulzar Khan who passed away on August 27.
