KARACHI: A delegation of the MQM-Pakistan (MQMP) headed by its Convenor Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi will meet with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind today (Tuesday), ARY News reported.
Dr Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal will accompany MQM-P head Siddiqui.
The political leaders will discuss the overall political situation prevailing in the country and the future course of action as the MQMP, JUIF, GDA are already working on establishing an electoral alliance in the Sindh province, especially in Karachi.
The meeting will also be attended by PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz, PML-N Sindh leaders and others.
The development came after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif had contacted the MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and invited the MQM delegation to Lahore for a meeting.

It is to be mentioned here that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had started political activities after his return to Pakistan after four years in self-imposed exile. He also held a meeting with the senior party leadership at the PML-N secretariat.

According to reports, Nawaz Sharif will hold various political meetings and lead the party’s election campaign.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday notified general elections on February 8, 2024.
According to details, the Election Commission of Pakistan issued a notification of the date of the general election under Section 57 of the Election Act۔
The notification said that in light of the Supreme Court’s order, the general elections will take place on February 8, 2024.
The notification was issued by the ECP after, the Supreme Court declared February 8, 2024, as the date for holding general elections across the country after the ECP submitted the record of meeting with the president.
