KARACHI: Police on Sunday arrested three suspects, involved in supplying of arms and ammunition, red-handed here in Azizabad, ARY News reported.
Police said the culprits were shifting weapons on a vehicle, while they were caught. They had smuggled arms from tribal areas earlier as well, they said.
The law enforcers said they had recovered two 9-mm guns and a rifle from possession of the captured criminals. They claimed that another apprehended suspect, Mohammed Umar Javed, was a facilitator.
Police said the suspects had admitted to selling more than 25 kinds of weapons in Karachi.

On January 23, paramilitary forces in a raid in Lyari captured illegal arms and ammunition from a main-hole.
A spokesman of Rangers in a statement had said the paramilitary agency conducted raid in Dubai Chowk area of Lyari and recovered a bag of arms and ammunition from a main-hole.
The weapons were kept in the main-hole by the miscreants of Zahid Ladla gang, the spokesman had stated.
The rangers found five hand grenades, four detonators, 1220 rounds of M4 rifle and 130 rounds of 8mm rifle, the spokesman had said.
Rangers and police had launched an operation in Karachi on September 5, 2013 following the directives of the then government in the wake of the rising incidents of terrorism, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and targeted killings.
