The incident took place at Mansoor Shaheed police station located on Eastern Bypass, where head constable Pervez went inside and shot dead SHO Noor buksh Mengal.
A police guard of the SHO was also killed in the gunfire. The constable attempted to escape from the incident but was shot dead at the back of the police station.
According to police officials, the constable appeared visibly disturbed when he arrived for work. SHO Mengal offered him his personal lunch which he refused, and afterwards killed him.
