Police occupy women’s hostel in Sindh’s Nawabshah

TOP NEWS

The former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government spent millions to establish a women complex to provide working women a hostel, training center and skill development center but today this place is a police station.

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Mrs Irum Khalid told ARY News that since she was selected for the post, she saw that a number of women development institutions including the directorate were closed.

About the Benazir Bhutto hostel, she claimed that she has written a letter to Inspector General Sindh A.D. Khawaja to help end the occupation over building.

Mrs Khalid claimed that women are facing myriad of issues in Sindh with no solution in sight.

“In fact, the problems are being increased instead of resolution. CM Sindh has assured that the building created for poor working women of Sindh will be recovered and used for the purpose it was built,” said the special assistant to PM.

She was of the view that PPP wants to deliver as we know that people will not vote for us if we do not work for welfare of people.

It is yet to be seen if Mrs Irum Khalid will succeed in her endeavour to recover the women’s hostel from police or not.
