Where will political heavyweights cast their vote?

ISLAMABAD: The preparations have been made for the 2018 general elections which will be held on July 25. But where will political heavyweights cast their votes?

Caretaker Prime Minister retired Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk is expected to vote in his native hometown Swat.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will vote in Islamabad, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif will vote in Lahore, while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will vote in Larkana.

PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will vote in Nawabshah, while former prime ministers Yusuf Raza Gillani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will vote in Multan and Gujar Khan respectively.

PML-N’s disgruntled leader and now independent candidate Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will vote in Rawalpindi, while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Mualana Fazlur Rehman will vote in D.I. Khan.

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) convenor Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and seniot leader Farooq Sattar will both cast their votes in Karachi.

General Elections will be held on July 25 and polling will be held from 8AM to 6PM without any interruption. All arrnagements have been made and election supplies have been sent to polling stations across the country.

Elections will be held on 270 National Assembly and 570 provincial assemblies seats while elections in nine constituencies have been postponed.

Around 350,000 armed forces officials and 400,000 policemen will be deployed for security purposes during elections.

There are 105,955,409 people who are eligible to cast their vote. There are 85,307 polling stations including 47,813 in Punjab, 17,747 in Sindh, 12,634 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while 4420 have been set up in Balochistan.

There are 17,007 polling stations declared sensitive which includes 5878 in Sindh, 5487 in Punjab and Islamabad, 3874 in KP and 1768 in Balochistan. The provincial governments have installed CCTVs in senstive polling stations to avoid any misconduct.
