PPP objects to accountability based on political vendetta: Murad

SEHWAN: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah says the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) takes exception to accountability based on political vendetta.

Speaking to the media here, the chief minister said the cases which belongs to Sindh should be heard within the jurisdiction of the province and not in Rawalpindi as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) exits in Sindh, including the provincial capital and other cities.

The PTI ministers have a lot to learn because they are new, the chief minister said, adding that everyone knows how the PTI came into power.

Shah said his party has made no announcement to launch a campaign against the PTI government and added it would take other opposition parties on board before going for such an option.

Slamming soaring inflation, he said that inflation caused by the incumbent government’s policies since it assumed power was not seen in the past one decade.

Earlier, on April 2, the chief minister had regretted he was not invited to a recent meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Governor’s House during his visit of Karachi.

Talking to the media after offering Fateha at the graves of Bhutto leaders, he said schemes worth Rs162 billion for Karachi were just tall claims, adding they didn’t have any expectations from Imran Khan.
